Good News from Our Schools

  • The Cherryville High School Education Foundation was awarded an $80,000 grant from the CaroMont Health Foundation to assist in funding a science lab at Cherryville High School.

    Rori McCorkle of Forestview High School and McKinzley Turner of North Gaston High School were winners in the Gaston County Board of Elections “I Voted” sticker competition. So, when you vote, you might receive one of their winning "I Voted" stickers.

    The South Point High School boys soccer team won the Gaston Cup championship. The Gaston Cup was a three-day tournament held at George Poston Park in Gastonia.
